As you probably already know, Pokemon Go is the latest mobile fashion. This augmented reality game lets you catch and train Pokemon in the real world. Pokemon Go is free-to-play, with in-app purchases that can go as big as $80. The in-game currency, PokeCoins, allows players to buy upgrades and power-ups.

However, not everyone could play the game, as the list of supported countries was very limited at launch. It has been expanded up to 30, but there are still a lot of people out there who can’t install the game via the official means. Luckily, there are a few workarounds for those folks, and that’s what our guide is about.

First of all, if you happen to live in one of the countries already supported, you can download Pokemon Go from Play Store, hassle-free.

If not, there is a workaround through the Pokemon Go APK mirror. For it to work, you need to configure your settings to allow installation of third-party apps (as opposed to the official ones on the Play Store). To do this, you would need to navigate to Settings, Security, and check Unknown sources to be on. From there, download the APK, press OK when your phone displays the warning pop-up, and the installation will begin.

Even though you’re probably excited to play, don’t forget caution. Remember that third-party apps don’t go through rigorous anti-virus checks. Also, there are rumors floating around that the game developer Niantic is banning players who play via APK.

If downloading Pokemon Go from App Store isn’t an option for you, then you will need to adjust some settings. First, you will have to go to your App Store account and change the linked region to one where the game is already available.

Open Settings, select iTunes & App Store, and tap your Apple ID. You will have to sign out if you’re already signed in to complete the region change successfully.

Once you’re back in, press Country/Region and choose the desired one. You may also have to update or re-select your payment method. Return to the App Store and download Pokemon Go. The last step here is to create a new Apple ID to log in.

You can play the game in more than 30 countries right now, so selecting Australia, Spain, UK, New Zealand, or Germany should do the trick. Just remember that newly created Apple IDs update the country settings for all Apple devices and services.
